Luck favour Bangladesh
Bangladesh will leave Brisbane with one point from their Group A match against Australia after incessant rain forced an total abandonment at the Gabba. The game was officially called off at 4.42 pm, a little more than two hours after the scheduled start. At around 2:30 pm, the ground staff braved the weather to put up advertising on the field but rain grew heavier in ten minutes. The two teams arrived at the Gabba later in the afternoon only to mill around the dressing room. The rain in Brisbane hardly relented following Cyclone Marcia's landfall on Friday morning.
